Colours

The are 16 reliable named colours. All other colours should be specified using the #rrggbb number system. There are 216 'websafe' colours which are multiples of 33 (hex), these are shown in the second table.

For coloured text use: red text or red text 
Note the American spelling of color!

If you specify a text colour it is wise to also specify a background colour in case the browser's default background colour is the same as your intended text.
